Before you bounce.

Brielle Hi: whiterabbitnovel.com is an archive of the progress of my novel before I changed the name to The Man-Rabbit. (The new website is here.)

Two Aspie girls are given the ultimate challenge: Learn to love or die tryin'!

Hi, I’m Brielle aka Briellezbub, and the reason I’m grinning like a Chesh-cat is because I’m excited about my writing. Specifically, I’m uber excited that you are here.

I want to ask you this, writer to writer: If you would read the first chapter of my novel, I’ll send you a free copy of The Man-Rabbit ebook come December 1st. Head over to The Man-Rabbit to check it out.

The Man-Rabbit
A Paranormal Romantic Fantasy by Briellezbub

Two Aspie girls, Mel Willow and Kim Li are apprenticed to the Man-Rabbit and commanded to do the impossible: learn to love, or their bodies will never crystallize into the super beings he needs for his army. Just as Mel’s heart begins to open, Kim Li is snatched in a coup by the Man-Rabbit’s evil nemesis, Alejandra. Mel must rescue Kim Li and stop Alejandra from awakening evil reptilian bloods in the earth’s core before they annihilate the Man-Rabbit’s forces and occupy Earth.

Pitch 4 now.

I learned a lot in the last few days working on my pitch for the Pitch-ilicious Blog Hop Contest.  Thanks to Heather for hosting the contest on her website Between The Sheets, and many thanks to the participants for helping me out with their ideas as well. I have to be honest: I had a hard time reducing the story to ‘a selling pitch’ because now I look at what the pitch is saying and I don’t feel like that is what my novel is really about. Perhaps the other aspects need to be presented, ie- I should work on the longer pitch, synopsis etc. Then again, I have read advice that novelists should wait until after the final edit before doing any of this encapsulating… ;)

Pitch revision 4

Here is pitch revision #4, — last day for online discussion on our revisions — see the details at  the Pitch-ilicious Blog Hop Contest  (PS – Whoever said ‘there is no try’ obviously never had to scrinch a 105,000 word novel into three lines…)

Twenty-two year old Mel Willow is one particular Aspie whose heart is locked, she cannot feel, but as apprentice to the Man-Rabbit she must do the impossible: learn to love, or her body will never transform into the super being she is destined to be.

While banishing evil beings from earth—beginning with her mother and step-father—Mel’s heart begins to open to her partner, but just as quick Kim Li is snatched by the man-rabbit’s evil nemesis.

Mel must rescue Kim Li so they can complete transformation and cut off human reptilian bloodlines to earth’s underground where the mother lode await, poised  to annihilate earth’s inhabitants.

Pitch revision 3 for novel White Rabbit

Thanks Heather, you’re uber-inspiring to me.

This is a continuation from my previous attempts.

Here is pitch #3, which I’ve written, thanks to the pointers and encouragement of Heather Webb who has lured myself and 14 other writers to be involved in the challenge of our lives!! It’s all happening over on Heather’s website, Between The Sheets at the Pitch-ilicious Blog Hop Contest

Twenty-two year old Aspie Mel Willow is apprenticed by a man-rabbit to become leader of The Ball who charges her to do the impossible: learn to love.

While banishing evil beings from earth—beginning with her mother and step-father — Mel is assigned a partner, Kim Li, who becomes possessed by the man-rabbit’s nemesis, Alejandra; a dark elder who wagers her all and everything on taking his place.

Mel must rescue Kim Li so they can be forged as supernatural saviours of the human world in the next Mayan Age, when the previous earth’s core inhabitants will be awakened.

hope this is better, I have one foot out the door to work, I followed all the links I could find on the blog contest and posted my comments. thx a bunch

Pitch 2

This is a continuation from my first attempt at a pitch, which even confuses me when I read it now!!!

(got it) Covered

I do web design and graphics… often,
taking breaks from editing means having a bit of fun:

book 2

Editing is so arduous, one needs breaks of a purely creative nature: hence, the cover for book two.

I think that’s a catachresis metaphor… am I right Mr Anderson? … Dodge this!

I’ve added some juicy new twists and turns in the last two days… so I deserve this:

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TAKE A FACEBOOK BREAK FROM YOUR EDITING PROJECT

Nina, you know how I feel.

Three weeks of hacking….revision 2 finished today. Yeah, Nina, I know how you feel–cuz I’m feelin’ good too.

As far as promoting this book, well, after due diligence, setting up my twitter acct and my facebook acct for my novel, and following along to everyone’s ‘fan’ pages and reading ‘free previews’ on Amazon… I have to say, a lotta people should really take a good look at what they’re doing and ask themselves, “Am I flying, or am I falling.” Jussayin’ If I plastered tweets and comments and suckups everywhere, yeah, it might get me a few more sales when my book comes out, but really, what an awful taste in your mouth… and anyway, tryin’ to sell reading glasses to the blind ya know, I’d feel like The President glad handing at the funeral for democracy.

Me–I’m just writing because I have no choice, it fell on me like a bucket of water when I opened the door. This website is a handy way to reflect on my work–I’ve already been interactive with the web for fifteen years, learning web design and all the various ‘beyond end user’ aspects of the web as well. When I first got on to http land, I have to say, I was disappointed in how simple it was, same when I heard about the garden da vita, you know — effin shocked & dismayed… that empty feeling hasn’t changed much.

Information’s just information folks, it doesn’t make any difference how you chop it up and plaster it all over your ‘social media’ page…life is still about what YOU DO WITH IT & what it DOES TO YOUR SOUL.

Honest, I’m always happy when that one person in 10,000 comes along and really can notice or ‘get’ what I’m doing, but it’s the other 9,999 that make me cringe and vom a little in my mouth. No wonder Kafka hid his work under the bed! srsly

Yeah, that feels good Nina. Some truth. Play me out, will ya.
